First Haircut!!

I know what you're thinking...Jack doesn't have any hair! Well, he does in the back and that would classify it as somewhat of a mullet. Plus when I would spike up what little hair he does have, it was way too long! So we got out the clippers and went to town!

He did so good!! He laughed every time I put the clippers on him. He must have felt like they were tickling him. I have had so many bad experiences with little kids screaming and crying when they get their hair cut, I was glad when Jack just laughed it off.

Ta Da!! Much better...no more mullet. :)

Hooray for Spring!

The weather the last couple weeks has been amazing! It is just warm enough to wear shorts but not too hot. We have been trying to take advantage by being outside for at least a little while every day. Today we walked to see Brittany and Jackson. They have a little swing set that Jack fell in love with! This was his first time on a swing so I wasn't sure if he would like it but he just laughed and laughed and smiled the whole time. It was really cute.

I love his little legs!! Too cute!

The trees here are unbelievable! They are so pretty and we have them every where. Spring is definitely one of my new favorite things about Cleveland.

This tree is kiddy corner from our house. It has huge pink blossoms on it! I need to find out what kind it is because I want one in my yard someday!

Right after I took this picture, I looked down at my camera to see if it turned out. By the time I looked up, about five seconds later, Jack had a handful of dirt in his mouth from the flower pot!! Sick!! I tried to get it out with little success. I guess this isn't the last time he will eat something gross from outside. What do you do??

Steph, Hayden & Claire!

We have been so lucky lately with being able to see family and friends. This last week, Stephanie and Hayden flew out from Washington and Claire drove from Michigan. We did everything from visiting a lot of church sites, shopping, going to the zoo, baking the best chocolate cookies ever, being silly, and doing a lot of catching up. It was so fun!

We went to the Aurora outlet mall and they have a big duck pond in the middle. Jack and I stayed and watched the ducks and geese while Steph and Claire hit some of the stores. I think Jack could have stayed there all day.

He loved Stephanie!! We miss her so much already!!

These boys were so cute together! Jack doesn't quite know that you can't try and poke at babies but he is learning. I just know that they will be friends just like their parents.

All of us at the Kirtland temple.

Just hanging out with my friend Claire. She was so nice to me all weekend!

Jack sat there with her for so long while she fed him a snack. Thanks for all the help with the babies Claire...you will be the best mom!

The Newell K. Whitney store in Kirtland.

Cute boys

Being silly dressing up like pioneers. Glad I don't have to wear a bonnet everyday!!

Thanks for coming you guys! I had a blast. I was so bored the day after you left. I didn't know what to do with myself. We definitely need to get together again, and sooner than later! Love you guys!

The Zoo

While Stephanie and Hayden were still here, we decided to take the boys to the zoo. It was perfect weather! We had a lot of fun. Hayden wasn't too amused because he slept the whole time!

I've always wondered what it would be like to hear like an animal...big ears look good on me I think! :)

This little koala baby was so cute!! He was sleeping on his mom.

Jack was loving it! He thought the animals were so fun to see. We will definitely be going there a lot this summer.

Just lounging in the sun...

Bangs

I was feeling the need to chop my hair off again, so I resorted to these instead. Love 'em!

SURPRISE!

Last weekend, we through a surprise party for my Mom's 50th birthday!! Everyone from my family was able to be there and my Mom had NO IDEA. She was completely surprised! I am so glad that we were able to be there. It was a quick trip, but definitely worth it!

I tried to get a picture with my Mom and the babies, but they were not cooperating!

Jack playing with the balloons.

Angie and Will's dog, Sophie, was great entertainment for Jack. He stood at the window and watched her forever. She is a very energetic dog and I was glad that Jack was never scared of her.

I had to post this one for the fam... the story behind it probably isn't funny unless you were there. Basically, we all get pretty silly when we are all together...at least I do!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! WE LOVE YOU!

Justin's cousin might be on Dancing With The Stars and releasing a new country album, but this is the kind of talent I have in my family... :)

The Sun Came Out!

The sun finally made it's way out from behind the clouds. Jack and I put on our jackets and took a walk to a nearby library. It was SO NICE to get out of the house! Jack loves to watch the cars drive by so he was loving the walk there.
.

He got right in there and started playing with the blocks. It kept him entertained forever! It helped that it was right in front of a window where he could see the cars on the road too. It is such a good library. There is an awesome children's section with lots to do.

We had to stop and bang on the fish tank...poor fish.

On our way back we stopped inside the pet store. I think this puppy wanted to come home with us. He was doing all kinds of tricks for Jack. I can't wait until it is warm and we can go on outings everyday!!

Love Hate Relationship

I am a sucker for sweets. I LOVE having a treat!! But I also HATE that they are so bad for you. It drives me crazy that things that can taste so good will also just add inches to your waist. Well, as we all know the Easter bunny brings candy and luckily, I have already cleaned the basket out so there is nothing left. :) I figured I better just eat it and get it over with so I wouldn't be tempted by it anymore! There are no more holidays until Halloween that involve any candy so I am making it a goal to not have any in my house. Maybe salad will become my new addiction....but I highly doubt it.

I am retarded

The other day, I was having some major issues. Everything that came out of my mouth was wrong and I kept doing the most retarded things! This probably doesn't come as a surprise to my family (they were always so nice to me growing up). At the end of the day when I thought I couldn't get any dumber, I put my sweatshirt on and this is what happened! We were laughing so hard! And to make matters worse...when Justin was taking the picture, he said "1, 2, 3" and I smiled for the camera! Good thing you can see my face with my hood covering it! I even surprise myself sometimes.

Thanks Tanner!

I received this in the mail yesterday from my nephew Tanner. It just made my day!!

I miss you too buddy! I can't wait until I get to see you guys again. Give Sophie a squeeze for me!

Too Much Fun!

Jack has learned to go up the stairs now. We have to teach him how to go down them because he hasn't quite figured that out yet. When he gets tired he will try to sit down on the stairs and would fall unless we were there.
Sometimes Jack can be quite the messy eater. I think he gets it from his mom :) This is after we had given him bananas one day. At least he is a good eater!
Here is one of Jack after he had crawled on top of the door to our dishwasher. He is entering the stage where you have to watch him every second. He looks pretty proud of himself!

This is a picture of Jack on my shoulders. He loves it, as you can tell by his face!
Here is a video of me and him jumping!

Jack's First Words!

These last few days have been really fun for Stacey and me. This week has been especially nice since I am on Spring break and will be able to spend more time with Stacey and Jack. It is going to be hard to go back to school on Monday and try to get used to going all day without seeing them again. Jack is really starting to learn a lot of new things. He has finally began to talk a little. Some of his favorite things to say are da da, bye bye and uh oh. The other day I was walking downtown with Jack pointing at all of the cars passing us and telling him that they were going bye bye. We have been trying to teach him how to wave and say bye bye but he has never really caught on. But this day, out of nowhere, he lifted his hand up, waved it, and said baa bye. You should have seen my face, I was so surprised!! He is such a smart little kid. Also, whenever he would drop any of his cheerios or other food off his booster seat we would always say uh oh. Now he drops everything and looks at it on the floor and will say "uh oh." It is really cute when he says it but now we are constantly picking up everything off the floor:) I would definitely say that it is worth it though! We have been trying to teach him to say ma ma but he is still having a hard time with that one. I think it will be coming any day now! What an amazing blessing Jack is in our lives. We are so grateful to be his parents and for the love he has brought to our family. We can't imagine our lives without him.
