Claire and Dustin

Claire and Dustin recently moved to Erie, PA which is only and hour and a half from us. We thought we were going to move closer to them in the south, but instead they decided to move up by us right before we move away!! Oh well. It was so good to see them and we are so grateful that they would take time to come to the Cleve. We went to the B Spot (one of our most favorite restaurants here), played Ripple, and just enjoyed each other's company. It's so nice when we get to see old friends!! The boys loved having them around, especially Jack. Having visitors is WAY more exciting than his boring mom and dad. 

Thanks for coming guys and good luck in Erie!! We will say hi to the south for you. :)

Les Mis

We went and saw Les Mis on Friday. It was AMAZING! I loved it. I have always loved the music but to be there and hear them singing it and see the whole story was so, so fun. They did such a great job and I think it might have topped my favorites list of musicals that I have seen. 

Pigs in a blanket

Jack has been playing with these little toy pigs that we have for the past few days. The other day he said "Mom, come look at Wilbur's blanket! His Grandma made it for him."

You can tell one of his favorite things are blankets made from his grandmas.

Eggs

 I took Jack to a community Easter egg hunt. I guess you wouldn't really classify it as a "hunt". It was supposed to be outside at a park but it was raining so they held it inside the community center and just laid all the eggs out on the gym floor. We saw some of Jack's little friends there. Him and Macy were getting their game face on.

 They rang the bell to go and in about two minutes, it was over and all the eggs were picked up. As we were walking out, there were people still coming in looking at our full basket wondering what was going on. If you were even five minutes late, you missed it!

There were a TON of eggs so luckily no one had to fight to fill their baskets.

Jack was cracking me up because most of the kids were running as fast as they could and he was just walking slowly and looking around as if there weren't a hundred eggs all around him. I had to convince him to keep putting more eggs in his bucket. At the end he said to me, "I think that's enough Mom."

Dental Formal

We attended the dental formal this year with some of our friends. We haven't been before but decided we had to go this year as part of our celebration for graduation!! We have been making up lots of excuses to hang out with our friends before everyone heads to all parts of the world!

It was so fun to get dressed up and go out with no kiddos!! I loved it. Especially when I have such a good looking date. :)

They had a photo booth with all sorts of props. It was one of the highlights of the evening!

Celebrate

Well, we have finally made it. Justin finished his hands on boards!!! We are beyond excited. Justin is extremely relieved and feels like a new man. We thought we would never make it, and we did. Justin has put so much hard work into the last 4 yrs of dental school and I could not be more proud of him. Dental school has definitely been a challenge for Justin but then again, nothing that is worth while ever came easy! ...right Justin? :) For the past six months, Justin has been counting down to April General Conference as his time of relief, and now it has already come and gone! He has 3 wks left of clinic and then we are off to NYC to visit my parents. After that we are coming back to Cleveland for a couple days for GRADUATION!! Is this really happening?? YES!!

Let's go fly a kite!

Justin's sister, Stephanie, brought the boys kites when she came out here. We had been waiting for a day with enough wind and warm enough temperatures to go out and fly them.

Jack had never flown kites before and he loved it. Sometimes he would get frustrated if the wind would stop and his kite would fall but his smile would come right back as soon as we got it up in the sky again.

The wind was there, but the temperature was not as warm as we were hoping for. It was sunny, but the wind was so cold. Anderson wanted to go down this slide about 5,000 times after we flew the kites, so we stuck it out as long as we could.

These little boys would be happy to play outside all day if they could. Anderson cries every time we come in from the car because he wants to stay outside and play. We cannot wait until we move to Mississippi where we will have a fenced back yard!! Jack will randomly get sad and when I ask him why he is said he tells me that he "wants to move to Mississippi to his back yard." He is so dramatic. :)

St. Patrick's Day

A little visitor climbed across our table and left footprints and his gold!! He also made his way into our fridge, where he made our milk green and also our waffle mix.

We added our yummy green smoothies to make our St. Patrick's Day breakfast complete!

(I know...they look gross, but they are really good! And good for you. These are now a staple at our house and the only green thing that Anderson will even come close to. He loves them! And that doesn't happen often.)

Can you tell my camera is dying a slow and painful death?

When I was telling Jack about leprechauns and getting him excited for St. Patrick's Day, he was trying to be happy about it but seemed a little nervous. Later he was telling Justin that he just didn't like those "little crouton guys". After he woke up and saw what they left, his opinion quickly changed.

Anderson totally woke up on the wrong side of the bed. He was so grumpy and was only happy if he had a hershey kiss in his mouth. Even then, this was the face I got. Maybe that's what happens when you let your kids eat chocolate for breakfast?

Funny

A couple days ago, it started snowing. I was definitely not happy about this and so over the cold, winter weather. This is the conversation I had with Jack about it...

me: Jack, it is supposed to be spring time with sunshine and flowers! What is this snow thinking??

Jack: It's thinking that it's Christmas time! That silly snow!

Later, while driving in the car...

Jack: This sure is one snowy planet!!

Hopefully this snowy planet figures out that it is April and kicks the spring time vibes in soon!
