Taylor is one! {11.17.14}

When we moved to Japan, I thought the chances of us having another baby were pretty slim. To say I was sad is an understatement. Little did I know that shortly after moving there, I would find a doctor who could help us, and within two months of taking the medication she prescribed me, we found out I was pregnant. It was one of the best days. It was a Sunday, and I could hardly keep from smiling the entire day. Justin and I could not wait to dive into the baby phase again. We had been through a lot to get to this!

We found out we were having boy number 3. I had a feeling it was a boy. :)

I remember feeling like I could not go another day with this gigantic belly. I was more than ready for this baby to be here. I was so uncomfortable and having the most painful cramps.

Luckily, 7 days later, he came!! Taylor Baird was finally here. We loved every inch of that not so tiny baby. He was quite perfect.

You hear it all the time, but it's crazy how fast they grow up. I love looking back on all of these pictures and remembering Taylor's first year with us. He was always so happy, except from 3am-6:30am. But besides that, he was great. We tried for a long time to get him here and we do not take that for granted. Every day I see him, I realize how lucky we are to have this little TayTay in our family.

On his birthday, he loved the presents but didn't really love the cake. We had to put it in his mouth and he wasn't too sure what to think about it. I had tried really hard not to give him any sugary treats before this, so his tastebuds weren't sure what to think!

How cute is this little guy?? So happy to be one!

Halloween 2014

We made our way back to Arizona to have Halloween with the Pothier's. One of the best parts of being back in the states is being able to get in the car and take a road trip. Road trips aren't an option when you live on a tiny island. :)

These two blanket buddies were reunited.

Kara and Steve watched our kiddos while we did a session at the Mesa temple. We haven't lived close to a temple since we were very first married, so we try to take advantage whenever we are near one. It was a gorgeous day and the ten minute drive to the temple was glorious!

It was an exceptionally warm Halloween weekend and the kids took full advantage of the pool. Anderson forgot that he wasn't wearing his floaties and jumped off the diving board without thinking. It surprised all of us including Anderson! His eyes got really big once he realized what he had done, but he took it like a champ and managed to swim to the edge. Thankfully we were all right there watching and it ended well!

It was a little warm to be getting into our costumes but the kids were anxiously awaiting the big trick or treat. Kara had completely outdone herself with their family Lego costumes. They were crazy!! They looked amazing. Everywhere we went, people were dying over their costumes.

We went with a Peter Pan theme this year.
Wendy, Smee, Peter Pan and two lost boys.

Of course the kids made out like bandits!

The next day we went to the Phoenix temple open house. We took the older kids through the tour and  it made my heart happy to hear them all say how beautiful it was. They walked through reverently and you could tell that they felt the spirit inside.
Then we came outside and took goofy pictures. :)

And Jack and Haley...they make me smile. They looked like little parents helping out with the babies.

Cannon and Taylor

It was the prefect way to end our trip!
