Magic Kingdom was my favorite day at Disney World. What is it about this place that just makes you smile? Even with the crowds and the heat, you can't help but have a great time. Notice the light saber in Jack's hand? It was Star Wars week or month or something at Hollywood Studios, and of course my kids both ended up with one. They don't know what Star Wars is, but they knew that a light saber had to be cool.
I had to get a shot of us when we first got there, before we were sweaty and gross.
We started out at Splash Mountain. Pete, Jackson, and Justin are in the front row in the picture on top. Brittany, Jackson and I are in the back row in the picture below. Do you love how I'm totally hiding behind Jackson? If you know me at all, you know I am not a big ride person. I am a total weeny! Thunder Mt. Railroad is one ride that I do love, and of course, it was closed. I was sad.
Jack was dying to get the the Dumbo ride. It's nice and slow...his kind of ride. I might have passed some of my weeny genes on to him. Sorry Jack!
Brittany bought these misting fans from Walmart. They sell them at Disney World for like $18 or something ridiculous like that. They were LIFE SAVERS!! The kids loved them and it was amazing how much they helped. The kids just sprayed and sprayed and sprayed them. It made for some good entertainment while we waited in some of the lines.
This race car ride was one of my favorites. The boys thought it was so fun to drive the car. This video of Jack driving is hilarious!!
(I don't know why everything is off center after this! I tried to fix it and nothing works. And the font size looks messed up. Oh well...)
Of course we had to see Mickey in the parade! Jack was getting some high fives which totally made his day. He gets totally bummed if the people in the parades don't acknowledge him. Which, in a huge crowd like this, he was getting lucky!
On to the Buzz Lightyear ride!! Do you love that Anderson is covering his ears? I swear this kid thinks everything is too loud. Sometimes he even covers his ears for the toilet to flush at our house. He covered his ears for the parade and multiple rides. At least he is still smiling!
Max snuggled right up to Justin!
Those are some cute boys!
Mr. Buzz Lightyear himself! After we were done taking the picture, Anderson kept waving at him saying, "Come on! Come on Buzz! Come and walk with me!"
Miss Tinker Bell.
Right after we got off the Winnie the Pooh ride, three Disney workers came up to us and said that Prince Charming himself told them to find the best family in the park and give them this crown sundae. And WE were the best family!! What are the chances?! We of course were all very excited.
Now that is an ice cream sundae!
Anderson was gearing up for the fireworks show with his light saber. By this point, he was so tired. He told me that "we need to see the fireworks tomorrow after I take a bed." He didn't even last long enough to see one firework. He fell asleep, hands covering his ears, ready for the loud noises.
Jack on the other hand...look at that face!! He was dying to see the fireworks show. He looked like a deer in the headlights pretty much the whole time.
The show was awesome. I loved all the different things they reflect on to the castle. It was the perfect way to end the day.
